![]() Kindergarten is divided into a two-year programme comprising of Kindergarten 1 & 2 (ages 4-6Y).Learning Focus – Interpersonal, Independent, Conceptualization, Imagination, Cognition, Language & Literacy.Imaginative play is coupled with teacher-directed activities during circle time, small group, or individualised instruction. Children take the initiative to choose such activities as blocks, puzzles, easel, painting, computers, housekeeping, listening, writing, and sensory play. Pre-kindergarten develops awareness and readiness for kindergarten with exposure to many different basic concepts such as counting, colours, shapes, patterning, math, rhymes, sequencing, and environmental print. Our goal within this year of learning is to provide a planned educational environment, rich in learning experiences so that a positive foundation for the future will be nurtured.This is the first formal year of your child’s education as recognised by the Indian Government under NEP 2020. It’s also called Pre-K or as in our case Foundation Stage 2. Pre-kindergarten refers to programs that provide a year of education prior to entry into kindergarten.Learning Focus – Interpersonal, Independent, Conceptualization, Imagination. ![]() This stage encourages learning through play & has very little formal learning involved.Before starting kindergarten, the foundational stage of two years (ages 2-4Y) is recommended for the young learner who starts their preschool which fosters the learning of social, aesthetic and motor skills in young children.Toddlers, Play Group etc, at CC we call our 1st formal class “Foundational Stage 1” This class has various names so you must have heard a variation somewhere or the other.The foundational stage enables children to continue their exploration in a conducive & social learning environment. Parents’ involvement in a young borns growth is not only important but can extend the experience of a child in all aspects-social, emotional and mental. Parent-Child programmes encourage the involvement of both the parents in the child’s lives in physical as well as social growth.
